Leanne Take Precautions
The words “in case” are normally used by adults. However, Leanne has on several occasions made used of the words “in case” to make sure she gets what she wanted. These were a few occasions she correctly used such words.
She often uses tissue papers for wiping her mouth after food. Once, while about to go to a restaurant for dinner, she told Grandma “bring tissue paper in case there don’t have”.
One morning, before going to Mimi’s house (nanny who look after her when mum is at work) she said “bring vape (a type of mosquito repellant) in case Mimi’s house doesn’t have”.
On a trip with mummy to Port Dickson she asked “bring cheese in case there don’t have”.
Grandma going back to Melaka
Grandma has been staying with Leanne in KL for a few days.
When it was time for Grandma to go back to Melaka, she told Leanne “Grandma going back to Melaka”. Leanne wanted Grandma not to go and immediately replied
“No don’t go back, this be Atta and Grandma’s house.”

Leanne’s Spoken English
After getting up from afternoon sleep, Leanne told Grandma
“I get up, I must take two SUPERMAN VITAMIN pill, if not I hatchu, hatchu (pretended to sneeze loud).
While watching Atta’s new LCD TV, Leanne told Grandma”
“My TV spoils already".
Grandma asked, “Why spoil?”
Leanne answered, “because I see too much”. (The TV at her house is actually not functioning)
One morning, Grandma was about to bathe Leanne and asked her “Do u want to bathe with cold or hot water?”
Leanne “No, I want warm water”
She was correct and Grandma doesn’t know what to say, except to say ok.
Leanne likes drinking Mango juice. To prevent her from drinking often, Grandma had hidden the mango juice bottle behind some other bottles. This did not escape Leanne sharp eyes who saw the hidden mango juice, and told Grandma
“Why Grandma hide the mango juice”.
