Yup! Shannon uses lots of lahs now. Must remind daddy n I not to use too much lah’s in our conversation.
Shanon: Daddy, I want gen (vitagen)
Daddy: You had one already and you can’t have another one.
Shanon: Can-lah
Daddy and I speechless.
On a separate ocassion, Shannon accidentally wetted her pants in the car.
Mummy: Shannon, change your pampers (diapers).
Shannon: Want wear Pooh Bear Pampers.
Mummy: No Pooh Bear Pampers in the bag.
Shannon: Got-lah
On another separate occasion, we asked her,
Mummy: Shannon, are you cute
Shannon: No-lah
She not only uses all the lahs, but also alamak! ah yo! tak da and goodness!. She says all these expressions just like we do!! She says it like a nyonya lady.
