Leanne has a mind of her own
Atta noticed that Leanne has the tendency to do things other than what she was told to do. She would sometimes give alternative suggestions.
When told she cannot do a certain thing, she would usually reply “caaa n”
When told to use seat belt, she would reply “no seat belt”
When given a new dress to wear, she would insist on using old “meng dress”
When asked to sleep in Mama’s house, she would reply “No I want Grandma’s house”
When told to go to Tescco” she would reply “I want go Tesco now! ”
This morning Grandma gave her Roti Canai, she ate nearly the whole piece. Grandma told her Roti Canai once a week”. She replied “No, two times”. She knows that two is more than one.
Asking Questions
She is very talkative and inquisitive and asked a lot of questions. The usual questions:
“Doing what?”
“Cooking what?”
“Drinking what?”
“Eating what?”
“Buy what?”
“Going where?”
“Who call?”
“Who give?”
“Whose one?”
Yesterday she surprised Grandma by asking a why question. “Grandma, why are u taking medicine”.
Leanne has ‘mammam’ but no ‘susu’
Last night, while Grandma was packing her clothes, Leanne was playing with Grandma’s bra. She took the bra and tried it on her chest, and said “Me have mammam (breast) but no susu". She laughed. (She has picked up some Malay words such as tidur, makan, masak, susu.
