Make belief cooking

Leanne is ok. She understood that her parents are in Australia and accepted it and did not ask for them anymore. She would prefer however to sleep in Grandma’s house at night.

During the day, she would spend hours playing “Masak-masak” make belief cooking with her toy plates, cups and bowls.
She would ask: Grandma “u want what”.
Grandma would reply: I want fried “maggie mee”
She would ask again: “u want egg, want pepper?”
She would turn to Atta and ask: Atta want what?
Grandma would reply: I want fried “mee hoon ”
Should would ask again: “want egg, want pepper, want tomato?”
She would then continue her cooking and would serve Grandma and Atta after finishing.


Mickey Mouse Club

While at Mama’s house, Atta managed to locate Mickey Mouse web site. Leanne is so excited and fascinated at the colourful pictures of “meng” and friends. With the help of Mama, she would go into the web site for about one and half hour. At a particular Mickey mouse game, where the ‘Old Mac Donald had a Farm’ song was played, she had to click on the right animal, or else Mickey Mouse would fall down on to the ground. When she failed to get the right answer resulting in the fall of Mickey Mouse, she laughed excitedly (cak cak cak ) with both her hands closing her mouth and said “So funny !”
