Shopping with Leanne
She is very focused mentally, and knows exactly what she wants. We noticed she doesn’t waste things, and she does not want to buy things that don’t interest her. For example:
Out shopping in JayaJusco, we passed by a shelf displaying Pringles of various colors. She immediately asked Atta pointing her finger at the shelf. “I want Pringles (potato chips), purple color”. Atta instead took for her a yellow colored Pringle box, but she insisted on buying the purple colored which is tomato flavored. Atta wondered whether she can read the word “Pringles” or whether she recognized the box by the shape, size and color.
Grandma spotted a very cute little dress. Asked whether she wanted it, and she said “No, I want big head ‘meng’ baju(t-shirt)”. So Grandma has to look for ‘meng’ baju (t-shirt).
At the grocery shop one morning, Atta gave her bun bread for her to bring home. She took it, kept it for a while. When Atta finished buying newspaper, she said “I don’t want bun bread, home have bread”. She gave back the bun bread to be returned to the shop. She instead pulled Atta to the toy section and said “I want this hand phone”. This is how she got her toy hand phone.
At the children playground, she loves riding miniature cars and trucks. She would hop from one car to another and pretend to drive by turning the steering wheel (without inserting coin). She would not insist to insert coins for the ride.

Cheeky Leanne
There is always something to write on Leanne. She is adorable, and playful and active, and learns new things fast, and always asks questions. She now knows so many words through her own effort just by listening to adults speak.
Reminding her of things that she already knew would irritate her. She would purposefully give a wrong answer or no answer at all and laughed it off.
Once, Grandma asked her to show her finger nail. She replied showing her finger and said “This finger nose” and laughing (cak cak)
When asked to show where is the forehead (this she already knew a long time ago), she would point to her nose or other parts of the body.
When she is asked a thing that she really doesn’t know,
She would say “I don’t know la, ”. followed by “what”. When told of the answer, she would say it aloud, and the next time when asked, she could easily say the word.
At Mama’s house at night, Leanne gave Mama a piece of paper to make a paper boat. Mama in turn asked Kong kong to do for her. When Leanne saw Mama asking Kong kong to do, she cheekily said “Mama Lazy”. Mama was shocked, and Leanne repeated “Mama Lazy”. Moments later she looked sad, and wanted to cry when she sees Mama not happy.
Dearest Sunshine,
u grow up so fast! we must pen down somewhere or all will be gone down memory lane. So, this site is for u.
