With Grandparents (Written by Atta)

30 Aug 2007

Leanne words

Atta was cutting his finger nail this morning.
Leanne asked “ Atta What are u doing”
Atta remembered her cheeky ways and purposely said “Atta cutting finger nose”.
She immediately responded “ Atta wrong already, Atta cut finger nail “ emphasizing the word nail.

Atta forgot to close the Automatic gate outside the house compound.
When Mama was carrying her, she noticed the gate was opened and said “Gate not closed” and asked Mama to close the gate.

Leanne Toys

The Grand parents have bought many toys for Leanne. A toy house set, a toy masak- masak set, a toy make-up set, a toy hand phone, and a toy lantern, . She would play make beliefs with these toys.

She likes the Toy house set the most. The toy house comes with household equipments and furniture including the occupants of the house. She now knows all the household things and would say aloud each one when arranging them. Her imagination goes further.

Leanne: This bed put here, table and chairs put here. Masak-masak here.
Leanne: Daddy is sleeping here.
Mummy is cooking.
Me lying down.
Tommy green (her friend) is sitting here.
Me cooking

She would play by pressing the door bell to call the house people.

Leanne wants attention

Leanne wants a lot attention and she would make sure either Grandma or Mama is around wherever she is. She would scream when they are not nearby.

Last time when Grandma was talking to Mimmi Karen, she asked Grandma “Don’t talk”.
Yesterday when Kong kong was busy talking with Mama, she suddenly exclaimed. :Kong kong don’t talk”. She said this so that Karen and Mama would pay attention to her.

She speaks a lot these days and use longer sentences. E.g. “Kong kong and Mama what are u doing”.

Unexpected words from her yesterday. While Mama was carrying, her she exclaimed “Mama, pau pau (carry) me properly” when she noticed she is slipping down.
