We were having dinner with Didi, Mimi, Kor, Kor Des n Che Che Charis at a restaurant. It was Didi’s birthday.
Shannon told Didi, “This is Didi’s present, Mummy bought from Australia. Far, far away... (she stretched her left arm as far as she could to describe to Didi that Australia is very far away)”. All at the dinner table laughed looking at the “far, far away” expression.
Shannon was enjoying her ‘keropok’ (prawn cracker) before her main meal. I think she had about three crackers when I told her the piece she was holding was her last piece as she has to have her proper meal first.
After a few minutes, she exclaimed, “Can I have my proper meal and keropok?” (Emphasizing on the word proper and later said the word ‘keropok’.)
Mummy said, “Yes, Shannon, you will have your proper food when it is here. The ‘keropok’ has finished”. I showed her the empty plate.
Dearest Sunshine,
