I forgot to take Shannon’s pacifier with me before I went to TESCO. After shopping, she was fretting and said “I want dum dum (dummy)”. To distract her, I asked her to give me directions home.
Mummy: Shannon, how to get out of TESCO?
Shannon: Go inside there. I want dum dum. I want dum dum…(about to cry…)
Mummy: Shannon, after this turn where?
Shannon: Turn left
(It was correct)
Mummy: Show Mummy where’s your left?
(She pointed to the left)
Mummy: Shannon, then?
Shannon: go straight. (After a while…starting to cry again..)
Mummy: Shannon, help mummy, after this what?
Shannon: turn right. (She said pointing to the correct direction)
Mummy: then?
Shannon: go straight.
Mummy: then?
Shannon: Mummy’s house there?! Palmsprings Damansara.
Mummy: Wah, so clever!
She came back, took my phone to call Daisy Duck.
Shannon: Hello Daisy…
Daisy: ??????? (Her imagination)
Shannon: Mummy don’t know how to go.
Daisy: ??????? ( her imagination)
Shannon: I say turn right, turn left, go straight (her hands moving to the right as she said right,
left as she said left and straight as she said straight)
I was sitting down, looked up and asked “Shannon, what did you tell Daisy Duck?” She smiled cheekily and closed my hand phone. Boy, was I schocked!
