Leanne Play the role of Grandma
It has been the practice for Grandma to teach Leanne new words by playing “What is this?” game with her. She would learn new things by answering to questions posed to her.
Of late, she reversed the role. Instead of Grandma asking questions, Leanne would test Grandma by asking. “what is this” to things beside her and when the reply was wrong, she would laughed and say “wrong already”.
Leanne Learning to speak
Grand parents are amazed at some of the words (not expected of a two year old) used in her daily conversations. Examples
She now knows how to say “Grace” before lunch/dinner. A few days ago she insisted on saying “Grace” before dinner.
Leanne likes to play with a plastic toy camera. She would pretend taking photos of Grandma. One day while playing with her camera, she asked in her pelat tone “on lite” followed by “to byte, I delit”. It take us some time to know that she meant “On light, too bright, I delete photos”. (Clearly she must have heard her daddy using these words while taking photos of her)
Eating breakfast, she likes “Chapati”, and she would request “I want little bit pedas” translated as a little spicy (curry to go with chapatti).
She was trying to wear her clothes and said “I want see whether I can wear “.
She was holding and eating something and exclaimed “Good thing never kena my baju” (good thing it did not fall on my blouse)
While drinking Vitagen she said “My favourite is Gen not pau”
While eating at the dining Table she said “Vegetable cold cannot eat”.
She asked Grandma while eating bread “bread fresh or not?”
Making phone call to Minnie and said “ Minnie message me”
Playing Mickey Mouse game via internet and told Atta “loading game”
She asked Atta “why water so green one” referring to the fish pond water (green color) at Atta’s house.
Half as much
Leanne wanted “Chocolate smarties”. Atta normally give her one.
This time Atta said: “Atta give u half”
Leanne immediately said “No cannot”
Atta” Give u two”
Leanne immediately said “yes”.
She knows the difference of half and two.
